Motorists should anticipate more bicycles on the road than is typical on Friday, May 16th as over 200 participants commute downtown to Columbus Commons to celebrate Bike to Work Day.
Most riders will be traveling in one of seven groups along a pre-determined route. Routes are shown on the event website listed below. Each group ride is being led by partner organizations: Yay Bikes!, CoGo Bike Share, Friends of Camp Chase Trail, Consider Biking, Transit Columbus, the Create Columbus Commission and Transit Columbus, MORPC and car2go.
Mayor Michael B. Coleman will be riding with the East Route led by CoGo Bike Share, as they have recruited the largest single ride with 100 participants.
The event is being supported by Columbus Commons, and Whole Foods Market. Additional event partners include Cycle Tavern, Third Hand Bike Co-op, The Idea Foundry, Yelp, Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District and Ohio Department of Transportation.
