Councilmembers have selected Emmanuel V. Remy to fulfill the unexpired term on Columbus City Council. Remy will finish the remaining two years of the four-year term of former Council President Zach Klein, which runs through 2019.
Klein was elected Columbus City Attorney this past November.
“The applicants for this Council seat represent a cross section of community leaders from every side of the City,” said Council President Shannon Hardin. “I look forward to leaning on these folks for guidance and collaboration for years to come. Furthermore, I’m excited for Councilmember Remy to join this body as we work together to improve Columbus for every resident.”
Remy serves as president of the Northland Community Council and Clinton Estates Civic Association.
He will be sworn in and assume office at a later time in advance of the Council meeting on January 22, 2018.
