Young is the team’s Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week after totaling three tackles, 1.5 sacks and 1.5 tackles for loss. Young also blocked a Cincinnati field goal in the second quarter. Young’s 3.0 sacks through two games is tied for sixth best nationally. Ohio State’s defense held the Bearcats to just 273 yards of total offense and registered its first shutout since 2017.
Chrisman, the Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week, punted three times vs. the Bearcats, placing two of them inside the 20 yard line. He averaged 43.0 yards per punt and his unit did not allow a punt return yard. Chrisman’s first punt of the game was downed by Olave at the UC one yard line.
