ODOT project to rebuild the existing pavement on I-70 from US 42 to the Franklin County line will begin October 1, 2018.
Lanes will be restricted to allow the contractor to complete pavement repairs before the winter.
I-70 will be reduced to two lanes in each direction around the clock until Oct. 29, weather permitting.
Monday thru Thursday, I-70 will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 8 PM to 6 AM daily. On Fridays, I-70 will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 9 PM to 8 AM Saturday.
Next year, crews will begin work to replace the existing pavement with asphalt. The project also includes new drainage, signage, guardrail, cable barrier and bridge work.
The $49 million project is expected to be complete in October 2020.
